Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Rio de Janeiro You will be met at Rio de Janeiro International Airport and after you clear customs will be given assistance for the transfer to the South American for a four night stay; the remainder of the day is on your own to explore this fascinating city and its nightlife.

Day 2

Rio City Tour After breakfast you will take a city tour visiting Rio's main attractions including the Corcovado, Sugar Loaf and the city itself, with a look at the gay scene, and learning about amazing historical episodes of the city's colonial, imperial and early republican days, you will lunch in style in a fantastic barbeque restaurant in Copacabana. The remained of the day is free.

Day 3

Excursion Following breakfast, a visit to an amazing plantation-turned-museum where the famous Brazilian gay landscape designer, Burle Marx lived and worked, followed by a mouth watering seafood lunch at Pedra de Guaratiba. In the afternoon enjoy Rios beautiful beaches.

Day 4

Half Day Excursion After breakfast, we embark on a speed boat for a half day cruise; you sail through the bay all around Copacabana and Ipanema beaches to the beautiful archipelago of Cagaras Islands. Enjoy a panoramic view of the city from the sea, including the forts, sugar loaf, Corcovado, Niteroi, and several islands. This afternoon we will enjoy a bathing suite fashion show on Ipanema beach.

Day 5

Foz do Iguacu After breakfast, transfer to the airport for our flight to Foz de Iguacu Falls. Assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer to the Best Western Foz Galli. Afternoon tour of the falls from Brazilian side.

Day 6

Foz do Iguacu After breakfast, we cross over to Argentina and visit the jungle, part of the national park, with its amazing flora and fauna. We then proceed to visit the waterfalls with a speed-boat and get close to the breathtaking and splendor of the roaring water surrounding you from almost every side. Finally we have a short tour along the falls from the Argentinean side. We return to Brazil for lunch. In the early afternoon we take a flight to Salvador. Arrive late evening, check-in to Grande Hotel da Barra.

Day 7

Salvador Following breakfast, a city tour departing from the hotel directly to Farol de Barra at the Barra district, we continue to Municipal Square with a stop at Lacerda Elevator, where you will have breathtaking views of Baia de Todos os Santos (All Saints Bay) . We'll walk through the cobblestone streets of the Pelourinho district, the city's historic old town. Visit Pelourinho Square and walk back to the bus parking. We visit the Mercado Modelo before returning to the hotel.. This evening we head for the Solar do Unhao Restaurant, a former residence dated from the 17th century where we enjoy a splendid view of the All Saints Bay. The authentic folklore show presents the main mystery and magic manifestations of Afro-Brazilian culture, such as the Camdomble, Maculele, and Puxada de rede, Cabocios's Dance, Samba de Rode and Capoeira. Our return to our hotel is through the city lights.

Day 8

Salvador at Leisure. A day of leisure in Salvador da Bahia for you to enjoy and discover on your own the wonders of the land of happiness. Don't miss the Bahian women dressed in white clothes, always with a wide smile together with their trays of candies and acaraje: a typical scene in almost every square in the lively city of Salvador. Sample delightful and unique gastronomy of Bahia, based on African recipes. At night an evening tour of the gay nightlife of this vibrant city.

Day 9

Morro de Sao Paulo. After breakfast, transfer to docks and enjoy a boat ride across the bay to the island of Morro de Sao Paulo, a small paradise island blessed with wonderful beaches. Check-in to pousada Vila Guaiamu. You will enjoy the later afternoon relaxing at the beaches.

Day 10

Morro de Sao Paulo After breakfast, spend the day as you please; explore the wonderful four beaches, the busiest with live music and restaurants, the furthest from the village tranquil and unspoilt. There are small restaurants and pizza stands in the village. The village itself is small and charming, you can visit the nearby colonial citadel as well as the local baroque church.

Day 11

Morro de Sao Paulo - Return flight After breakfast enjoy the morning at the beaches. Lunch and transfer to Salvador docks. Transfer docks to the Airport for our return flight.
